Consider becoming a Shelter member, volunteer or both!
At the Headwaters Animal Shelter, we rely on the time,
talent and generosity of the community for our success.
Participating through membership or volunteerism is
a rewarding and thoughtful way to express your support
and caring for the animals. Please use the forms
below.
Membership
As a member of the Headwaters Animal Shelter, you
have the joy of knowing you are supporting an organization
that works tirelessly every single day to improve the
lives of many neglected, abused or abandoned companion
animals. Your membership fees (tax deductible!) help
us to provide them with loving care and a second chance
for a wonderful life.
As a member, you will receive Paws Press, the Shelter
newsletter, on a quarterly basis. The newsletter provides
you with ongoing information about Shelter programs,
activities and events. You are also invited to attend
our membership meetings, held on the first Monday of
each month. These are great forums to stay current with
Shelter progress and programs.
Simply print the Membership Form, complete it and mail
it to the Shelter along with your check.

Volunteer!
Volunteering is a great way to show your support
for the Shelter! It is rewarding and fun and there are
many volunteer opportunities available.
Our volunteers are a diverse group with one common
purpose - to help the homeless, neglected and abused
animals of our community have a better life.
At the Headwaters Animal Shelter, volunteer opportunities
exist in every field of animal welfare. From physically
caring for pets (exercising, bathing, feeding and grooming),
to opening your home as a Foster Family, to fundraising
events and publicity - there are many areas for you
to share your talents!
And, as we continue to develop as an organization,
we are in constant need of volunteers with decision-making
and administrative expertise to serve actively as board
members and committee chairpersons.
Opportunities are only as limited as your imagination.
